The Shilowa Express is still coming through!
By SABELO NDLANGISA
Gauteng's proposed high-speed train is expected to steam ahead with only minor changes to original routes - despite strenuous objections from many residents.
A draft environmental impact assessment report on the R7-billion "Shilowa Express" has concluded that the project is viable and that proposed routes can largely stay intact.

I can't wait for this train. Traffic is a killer and being one of the (prob a bit high) more than 100 000 motorists that travel from Midrand to JHB I think the train is a great option!

I have not been following this train thing.
I don't travel the Gauteng highway. *GRIN*
As long as they make a really good paper study of this, check it 10 000 times then check it 10 000 more if they have to, because as soon as the lines start getting laid it's to late to cry.
as long as the "high standards" recommended by the report were followed during construction and the running of the train
and
The noise and vibration specialist studies
also as little
biophysical and social impacts on the environment
and it's better that cars. I'll go along for the ride, just don't ***** every thing up.
(I think I'll keep an eye on this to)

Spanish Train
There's a Spanish train that runs between
Gualdaqivir and old Seville.
And at dead of night the whistle blows,
And people hear,
she’s running still.
